A Big Shocker

What's the biggest shocker about the new 2014 "Metal" plans?  The coinsurance, and limited number of lower deductibles.

The impact of this is more out of pocket dollars after you have paid your deductible.  For instance: First you pay, let's say, a $1,500 deductible.  Then you keep on paying a percentage (coinsurance) until you meet your "Out of Pocket Maximum".  If the coinsurance is 70% (the part the insurance company pays), then you must pay 30% of all of the non-preventive care bills until you reach $5,500.  $1,500 (the deductible) plus another $4,000 (or total medical expenses of $13,333).
